Schooltrip to Jotunheimen
Day 1.
Last week we went on a schooltrip. We went together with another class to Jotunheimen. The bus was our transportation vehicle the entire time we were on the trip. We drove for three hours and then stopped in Lillehammer to shop groceries and other stuff we needed for the night. Then we drove some more until we got the our next stop: Helvete - Hell.

Helvete/Hell is a phenomenon that was created during the last ice age and they are called potholes. They were created by rivers filled with rocks, stones and logs that started to circle around and made huge holes in the "ground". It was amazing to see and to hear about how they were made by the local man that run the place.

We left Helvete and drove for approximentley an hour until we got to our next stop. Then we walked up a terrible uphill until we got to Kvitskriuprestan. Kvitskriuprestan is a phenomenon of soil and stone columns. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs when rainwater washes away the hard-packed moraine material in the moraine, but leaves behind bars where large stones are like umbrellas and protects the underlying masses against rain. The tallest columns are around six feet and is estimated to be approximately 200 years old.
After this we returned to our beloved bus and drove twenty minutes or so until we got to "Heidal camping" were we stayed in tents for the night. It was a cold and crowded night in the tent.
Haha, I just had to add this picture of the girls I slept in the tent with! It was taken in the middle of the night so they have an excuse for looking this tired!

Day 2.
I woke up with butterflies in my stomach that morning. We were going to go rafting with "Heidal rafting" in a river nearby. I really don't know what to say about this experience. It was indescribable! Everyone had the time of their lives! Every one of us had a blast! You got a huge adrenalin kick and even though the water was quite cold, the only thing on everyones mind was the fact that we had to paddle to surf the underwater waves. I have never felt more alive in my entire life!

After we got back to our campsite we took a beloved warm shower, packed all our stuff and then we hit the road again! We drove to a small village called Lom and visited a museum. After that we went to Juvashytta and had a guided tour into an extraordinary man made icecave. The decor inside was inspired by the Norse mythology. I have never seen anything like it. And it is unbelievable to imagine a few men making this from scratch!
The final day of our trip had come and we were all exhausted after nights with few hours of sleep and long hikes so the busride home was long and relaxed.
And so if I have to sum up this entire trip into one single sentence it would be this:

That night we slept at Bøverdalen hostel.

Day 3.
The day had finally come and we were all very excited! We were going to go to the highest mountain in Norway, Galdhøpiggen. The bus took us up to Juvashytta and then we walked all the way to the top! 2469 meters above sea level! The feeling when we got to the top and vitnessed the breathtaking veiw was sensational! The weather was perfect and everyone on the top smiled just as bright as the sun.

And so if I have to sum up this entire trip into one single sentence it would be this:
